Edward R. Annis, a surgeon, has served as chairman of the A.M.A.’s National Speakers Bureau. For several years he has been a director of the Family Service and Senior Citizens division of the welfare planning council of Miami, Florida, and is chairman of the Florida State Medical Association’s legislative committee. In 1961, he received the first annual J. H. Robins Co. award for “Outstanding Community Service by a Physician.”
