The Impasse of Disarmament

Frederick L. Schuman, a Contributing Editor of Current History, taught at the Portland Center Summer School in 1961. This month his Edward Douglass White lectures of March, 1961, will be published under the title, The Soviet Union: Retrospect and Prospect. He is also author, among other works, of American Policy Toward Russia Since 1917, International Politics, and Government in the Soviet Union, now published in a paperback edition.
