Britain Turns the Corner

*Godfrey Elton, as he was known until he became a member of the House of Lords this year, has been a Fellow anti Tutor of Queen’s College, Oxford, and is a Lecturer on Modern History in the University of Oxford. He was expelled from the Labor party for supporting Prime Minister MacDonald on the formation of the present National Government in 1931. He has written on historical subjects and contemporary political issues in Great Britain.
