The Middle West: Economic Blight

Theodore Saloutos is the author of many articles for CURRENT HISTORY and for other publications. Last year he was a Fulbright Professor at the University of Freiburg, Germany. His most recent book is Farmer Movements in the South, 1865–1933; other volumes include They Remember America (1956) and Agricultural Discontent in the Middle West, 1900–1939. At present he is working on a history of the Greek people in the United States.
