Thomas E. Ennis taught history at Yenching University, Peking, from 1924 to 1928, and served as bureau manager of Chung Mei News Agency and assistant bureau manager for the United Press, Peking (1927). During World War II, he was a research consultant, military intelligence, Office of the General Staff (Washington); during the Korean War, he was a staff officer for intelligence on southeast Asia. His books include French Policies and Development in Indochina and Eastern Asia.
