Russian Military Development

Edward L. Katzenbach has served as Research Associate, Institute of War and Peace Studies at Columbia University. From 1955 to 1958 he served as Director of the Defense Studies Program, Harvard University. Subsequently he was executive secretary for the National Academy of Sciences on Poseidon (a study of the impact of technology on the future of the United States Navy). He is the author of numerous articles on politico-military affairs for magazines and scholarly journals. This article was written before he began his present assignment with the air force.
