Allan S. Nanes, an international relations specialist, has taught at Brooklyn College, Hunter College and Hofstra College. Formerly with the United States State Department, he has worked for the Legislative Reference Service of the Library of Congress for four years, making studies and writing reports and speeches for various members of Congress. He obtained his background in the field of comparative military strength working with the staff of the Senate Subcommittee on Disarmament. Mr. Nanes has authored or co-authored articles in various scholarly journals.
