Germany in the European Community

Carl G. Anthon has taught modern European history at various colleges and universities, most recently at the American University of Beirut (1955–1958). He has also served as a historian with the United States Military Government in Berlin and, later, as a cultural officer for the United States High Commissioner (1950–1952). His articles on modem Germany and on the Middle East have appeared in the Journal of Modern History, World Affairs Quarterly, American Scholar and Current History.
