Labor and German Prosperity

Ludwig Erhard has been Federal Minister for Economic Affairs of the Bonn Republic since 1949. Prior to his present appointment, Dr. Erhard was Bavarian State Minister of Economics (1945-1946), chairman of the Sonderstelle Geld and Kredit (a special agency preparing the plan for currency reform) in 1947 and Director of the Department of Economics in United Economic Territory (1948-1949). He is Vice-Chancellor of the German Federal Republic.
