Prior to his coming to the United States in 1948, Ivo Duchacek was a member of the Czechoslovak Parliament and chairman of its Foreign Affairs Committee, 1945-1948. Before joining the faculty at City College, he taught international relations at Yale University, 1949-1951, and from 1951 to 1953 served as research consultant on the Yale Human Resources Project, sponsored by the United States Army. Former editor-in-chief of the Czechoslovak Section of the Voice of America, Mr. Duchacek is the author of several studies on communism and American foreign policy in East Central Europe.
