Chairman of the Department of Economics and Sociology, Mount Holyoke, Everett D. Hawkins edited the pamphlet on Indonesian Revolution: Second Phase and authored two chapters of a Yale Handbook on Indonesia, 1956. Director of Information of the O.W.I. in Chungking, Hankow and Mukden, China, during World War II, he was Program Planning Officer of the E.C.A.- M.S.A. in Djakarta, Indonesia, 1951–1952. During the academic year 1958-1959, Mr. Hawkins is on leave to teach at the University of Gadjah Mada, Jogjakarta, Indonesia.
