Wilma Dykeman is the author of The French Broad and co-author of Neither Black Nor White, awarded the Hillman Prize for the best book of 1957 on “race relations, civil liberties or world peace.” A recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, she has published in many magazines and journals.
