The French View of the Liberal Arts

Leon S. Roudiezteaches French and Comparative Literature at Pennsylvania State University. He was educated at Paris and Columbia Universities. After serving as a Signal Officer in the Alaskan Theater and with intelligence units of SHAEF in England and France, he began his teaching career at Columbia College. Dr. Roudiez is the author of Maurras jusqu’a 1’Action Francaise (Paris, 1957) and of articles on contemporary French figures in American periodicals.
