Dr. Leonid Strakhovsky, B. Litt., D. Hist., Sc. (Louvain) of the Department of History of Georgetown University, is the son of a former Governor of Turkestan and Tiflis. He fought with the French Foreign Legion in 1918-20 against the Bolsheviki in North Russia, was wounded five times and decorated for bravery in action. He was with Wrangel in his campaign against the Bolsheviki and after the collapse of that movement engaged in literary work in Great Britain and Belgium. He is a nephew of Michael Rostovtzeff, Professor of Ancient History at Yale.
