China in Southeast Asia

A frequent contributor to Current History, J. M. van der Kroef. was bom and largely educated in Indonesia and holds a PhD. from Columbia University. Since the Second World War he has twice returned to his native area for extensive study trips, and has previously taught at Hofstra College and Michigan State University. He is the author of numerous articles on Indonesia and Southeast Asia and of two books, Dutch Colonial Policy in Indonesia and Indonesia in the Modern World. His latest book, Indonesian Social Evolution: Some Psychological Considerations, is scheduled for publication this winter.
