Roger N. Baldwinresigned as director of the American Civil Liberties Union in 1950, after serving for 30 years, to promote civil rights internationally. He teas consultant on civil liberties to Occupation and native agencies in Japan and Korea, 1917, and in Germany, 1948. He toured Israel and the Middle East in connection with the refugee problem in 1952, and again in 1955 to investigate minority rights. In addition to publishing articles, Mr. Baldwin is the editor of several books, among them Civil Liberties and Industrial Conflict and A New Slavery, Forced Labor.
