Former chief to a U.N. Technical Assistance mission to Libya and U.N. Economic adviser to the Government of Jordan, John Lindbergwas a member of the Institute of Advanced Studies, Princeton. For more than 20 years he has been a public service career official on the international level. From 1930 to 1937 he was a Senior Member, Statistical Section of the International Labor Office; he was a member of the Economic, Financial and Transit Department of the League of Nations from 1937 to 1946.
