Everett D. Hawkinsedited the pamphlet on Indonesian Revolutions: Second Phase and authored two chapters for a Yale Handbook on Indonesia in 1956. During World War II he served in China as Director of Information of the O.W.I. in Chungking, Hankow and Mukden. Program Planning Officer of the E.C.A.-M.S.A. in Djakarta, Indonesia, 1951-1952, and Chief of the Indonesia Branch of the T.C.A.-F.O.A. in Washington, 1952-1953, Mr. Hawkins spent a summer in Indonesia on research travel grants to study Labor Management Relations there.
