A Rockefeller Fellow in the U.S., England and Switzerland from 1935 to 1937, Secretary General of the Hungarian Delegation to the Paris Peace Conference in 1946, the Hungarian Minister to Italy in 1947, visiting lecturer at the Yale Law School from 1948 to 1950, Stephen D. Kerteszis presently Chairman of the Committee on International Relations at the University of Notre Dame. His books include Diplomacy in a Whirlpool: Hungary between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union and the symposium which he recently edited, The Fate of East Central Europe: Hopes and Failures of American Foreign Policy.
