Prior to his coming to the U.S. in 1948, Ivo Duchacek was a member of the Czechoslovak Parliament and chairman of its Foreign Relations Committee, 1945-1948. Before joining the faculty at City College, he taught at Yale, 1949-1951, and from 1951 to 1953 served as research consultant on the Yale Human Resources Research project. Editor- in-chief of the Czechoslovak Section for international broadcasting by the State Department and the U.S.I.A., Mr. Duchacek has lectured on East-Central Europe at the War College, Maxwell Air Base, and is the author of several studies on communism and American foreign policy in East-Central Europe.
