Russia in the Middle East

Dr. Ivar Spector is the author of An Introduction to Russian History and Culture (2nd edition), The Golden Age of Russian Literature (5th edition), and The Soviet Union and the Muslim World, 1917-1956. He is the former editor (1946-1950) of Soviet Press Translations, published by the University of Washington’s Far Eastern and Russian Institute. Dr. Spector has lived intermittently in the Near East for three years, and holds a Ph.D. in this field from the University of Chicago.
