Prior to 1946 HASSAN A. DAWOOD served for many years as an agricultural and social worker in Egypt. For the following four years he studied in the United States, receiving his Ph.D. at Michigan State University in 1950, in Agricultural Economics. He was appointed Deputy Chief of the Economic Section, Fellah Department, Ministry of Social Affairs, and later Chief of the Cabinet of the Minister of Social Affairs in Cairo. Dr. Dawood is now serving as Counselor of the Egyptian Embassy, Washington, D. C.
