Islam and the Middle East

MR. FRYE has lived in Turkey, Iran, and Afghanistan. His special field is Iran and he has written two books on the subject: The United States and Turkey and Iran and Iran. He is Associate Director for the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard and his specialty is Middle Persian inscriptions. Mr. Frye has been a Rockefeller and Guggenheim Fellow as well as a Fulbright Grantee.
