PERRY LAUKHUFF was a United States Foreign Service Officer from 1937 to 1953. During that time he served as Political Adviser to the U.S. Commandant of Berlin for Allied Kommandatura (1947-1948), as Director of Office of German Political Affairs, Department of State (1949-1952) and was Special Assistant to Director of Bureau of German Affairs, State Department (1952-1953). Mr. Laukhuff is currently a writer and consultant on international affairs.
