MARTIN MERSON was appointed Executive Director of the Survey of Federal Reorganization which was designed to bring the First Hoover Commission proposals up to date for President Eisenhower in 1952. In 1953 he served as chief consultant for the State Department’s International Information Administration. Mr. Merson describes his experiences with the IJ.A. in The Private Diary of a Public Servant, published in 1955. He is currently engaged in a private law practice in Philadelphia.
