M. Stanley Livingston
Professor of Physics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
M. STANLEY LIVINGSTON worked with Professor Ernest O. Lawrence in the development of the original cyclotron. He was Chairman of the Accelerator Project at Brookhaven National Laboratory which designed the 3.0 billion volt Cosmotron. He is at present the director of a joint M.I.T.-Harvard accelerator design project. Dr. Livingston has been active in the Federation of American Scientists, serving as Chairman of the Federation in 1954-1955.
