HANS J. MORGENTHAU is Director of the Center for the Study of American Foreign Policy at the University of Chicago and a lecturer at the Air War College. He was formerly a consultant to the Department of State. Professor Morgenthau is the author of Scientific Man vs. Power Politics, Politics Among Nations, In Defense of the National Interest, and other works.
