JOHN IRWIN COOPER graduated from, the University of Western Ontario and received his doctorate from McGill University in 1938, where he is at present teaching in the field of Canadian, United States and British Empire history. Mr. Cooper, who last wrote for Current Historyin December, 1953, did his graduate work in French Canadian political history.
