WILLIAM G. CARLETON, Chairman of Social Sciences in the University College (University of Florida), spent the summers of 1950 and 1951 studying conditions in Europe. A speaker for the Democratic National Committee in 1928; 1932 and 1936, he has written frequently on domestic and international politics for learned and literary journals.
