ALVIN Z. RUBINSTEIN received his Ph.D. in 1954 from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Harrison Fellow. He has done economic analysis for the National Committee for a Free Europe, and written on the problems of nationalist and socialist movements. He is at present a lieutenant, j.g., in the Navy, serving on board the U.S.S. Ticonderoga.
