FREDERICK L. SCHUMAN travelled and studied in Russia in 1928 and 1933 and in the present Soviet satellites in 1937. He is the author of American Policy Toward Russia Since 1917, The Nazi Dictatorship, International Politics (5th Edition, 1953), The Commonwealth of Man, (N. Y. 1952; London 1954) and Soviet Politics at Home and Abroad (N. Y., 1946; Tokyo, 1954).
