SIDNEY WARREN was Visiting Fulbright Professor of American History at the University of Durham, England, in 1949-1950; the following year he was Visiting Professor of American History at the University of Glasgow, Scotland. Among his published works are American Freethought (1943) and Farthest Frontier: The Pacific Northwest (1949). He is contributing editor to Year.
