Military Control in East Germany

The author of this article is a United States government official who is well acquainted with the situation in East Germany. He was stationed in Germany, including Berlin, during 1959 and 1950. Since returning to Washington his work has been closely involved with events in East Germany, and has included trips to Berlin in 1952 and 1955.
