STANISLAW MIKOLAJCZYK is at present Chairman of the Polish National Democratic Committee, President of the International Peasant Union, and a member of the International Council of the European Movement. A former leader of the Polish Peasant Party, he served in the Polish govemment-in-exile in London during World War II, and afterwards in the Provisional Government of National Unity. He fled Poland in 1947. He is the author of The Rape of Poland (1948).
