HUEY LOUIS KOSTANICK has recently returned front a year of sabbatical research in Europe and the Near and Middle East under the auspices of the University of California at Los Angeles, the Social Science Research Council, and the Ford Foundation. During World War II, he served a year in North Africa, travelling from, Casablanca to Suez.
