Vargas of Brazil

ALEXANDER MARCHANT was chairman in 1953 of the Conference on Latin-American History of the American Historical Association. His most recent trip to Brazil, in 1952, was made on grants from the Social Science Research Council and the Institute for Research and Training in the Social Sciences of Vanderbilt University.
