Inflation and the Farmer

FRED A. SHANNON is the author of several historical books, including The Organization and Administration of the Union Army (2 vols.). The Farmer’s Last Frontier was published in 1945, and a third edition of America’s Economic Growth appeared in 1951. He has been awarded both a Justin Windsor Prize and a Pulitzer Prize. He is now president of the Mississippi Valley Historical Association.
