LEO MARQUARD, M.A. (Oxon): South African; Rhodes Scholar; is Editorial Manager of the Oxford University Press at Cape Town. Dr. Marquard, a foundation member of the South African Institute of Race Relations, represented South Africa at the inaugural U.N.E.S.C.O. conference in London in 1946. He is author of The Peoples and Policies of South Africa (1952); Farm Labour in the Orange Free State, The African in Industry and other books and articles.
