Christopher Birdwood Thomson, who assumed the title of Lord Thomson on being made a peer in 1924, is a British Army officer who has held many important positions, retiring with the honorary rank of Brigadier General. He was Secretary of State for Air in the Labor Cabinet under Ramsay MacDonald. Kooks from his pen include “Old Europe’s Suicide” and “Victors and Vanquished,”
