Mr. Turnbull, a graduate of tile United States Naval Academy, served for several years in the navy. During the World War he commanded a division of escort ships on the French coast and, in the submarine zone. He was subsequently attached to the staff of Admiral Sims at the United States Naval Headquarters in London.
