*Ben Misra is a member of a distinguished Brahman family prominent in the public life of India. His uncle, Pandit Gokaran Nath Misra was formerly Secretary of the Indian National Congress. While in India Ben Misra came into contact with all the prominent Nationalist leaders, and had ample opportunity to gain the fullest knowledge of what the movement of non-cooperation portends.
