STEPHEN M. LOWRY is Assistant Professor of Political Science at St. Joseph's College, Philadelphia, where he teaches courses on Communist Political Systems, and on Utopias and the Politics of the Future. In 1975 he conducted several seminars for the U.S. Civil Service Commission on the topic, “Middle Managers in the U.S.A., the U.S.S.R., and the People's Republic of China.” His current research includes an empirical assessment of the likelihood of the peaceful reunification of North and South Korea.
