MARTIN W. SLANN is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Clemson University. His doctoral dissertati, on at the University of Georgia was on “The Political Integration of East and West Jerusalem : Arab and Jewish Community Co-optation.” He is an editor of the Journal of Political Science, and the author of several articles and book reviews in such journals as New Outlook, Judaism, and Human Relations. Professor Slann was in Jerusalem in 1968 to gather data on the administrative and political consequences of the unification of the city, and is planning further research in the near future on Israeli Communism and politics in Israel in general.
