The Domestic-Foreign Policy Linkage in Russian Politics: Nationalist Influences on Russian Foreign Policy
Roger E. Kanet is Professor and Dean of the School of International Studies of the University of Miami. His recent publications include the following edited and coedited books: Resolving Regional Conflicts (in press); The Post-Communist States in the World Community (1997); The Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation (1997); and Coping with Conflict After the Cold War (1996).
Susanne M. Birgerson is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign currently writing a dissertation entitled The Dissolution of Multi-ethnic Empires and Post-Imperial Inter-ethnic Relations: The Case of Russia and the Newly Independent States of the Former Soviet. Her publications include articles in Asian Studies, Problems of Post-Communism, Revue d'études comparatives Est-Quest, and The Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation, ed. by Korhemiakin, A. and R. Kanet, 1997 (Macmillan, Basingstoke).
