GIORA GOLDBERG is Lecturer in Political Studies at Bar-Ilan University, Isiael. After receiving his doctorate from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1980, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale. Dr. Goldberg has published several articles dealing with Israeli politics, and his main research interests are legislative politics, political parties, and political oppositions. The article in this issue is based on his doctoral dissertation: “The Parliamentary Opposition in Israel, 1965-1977.”
