JAMES P. MCGREGOR is East European analyst in the Office of Research, U.S. International Communication Agency. His doctoral dissertation from Ohio State University, dealt with “Political Leadership in Eastern Europe in Comparative Conmiputist Perspective,” He is the author of reports on Eurocommunism, media treatment of the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. in the Yugoslav press, East European media treatment of the Helsinki Conference, and relations among East European communist parties. Dr. McGregor is currently gathering material for research on Soviet and East European perceptions of the U.S. electoral process.
