Child socialization: Comments from a polish perspective

JOSEPH R. FISZMAN is Professor of Political Science at the University of Oregon. Educated in Poland, Lithuania, China, and the United States, he has done postdoctoral work at Charles University (Prague), Belgrade University, and the London School of Economics. Under a grant from the Office of Education (HEW), he has conducted field research on socialization in Poland, Yugoslavia, and the United States. In addition to numerous journal articles, chapters in anthologies, and book reviews, Professor Fiszman has published Revolution and Tradition in People's Poland: Education and Socialization (1972) and Education and Sociopolitical, Cultural and Economic Change (Ljubljana, 1970).
