The problematic of this study addresses the question regarding the signing of the European Union–Algeria Association Agreement in 2005, which is: to what extent were the contexts of the negotiation respected and connected to the fundamentals of the scientific evaluation which specified the strong and weak points of the Algerian economy in order to investigate the probable repercussions if that agreement was signed? Was there an audit on the likely gains and losses for Algeria if such an agreement was signed, relying particularly on the previous experiences of Tunisia and Morocco who were first to enter into a partnership with the European Union?
