ÓÕÍÅÄÑÉÏ ÔÏÕ ×ÁÑÂÁÑÍÔ ÓÔÇÍ ÅËËÁÄÁ ÐÏÕ ÄÉÏÑÃÁÍÙÍÅÉ Ï ÏËÕÌÐÉÁÊÏÓRomeo Guzmán is an assistant professor in U.S. and Public History at Fresno State, where directs the Valley Public History Initiative. He received his Ph.D. in Latin American history at Columbia University. He has published on migration, popular culture, and politics in both academic and popular outlets and collaborated with a number of cultural institutions and grassroots organizations, including La Casa de El Hijo del Ahuizote, Smithsonian, Vincent Price Art Museum, Arte Americas, FresCo, and others. Guzman’s public history projects have received regional and national awards and have been funded by California Humanities, Latino Americans: 500 Years of History, Los Angeles City Department of Cultural Affairs, National Performance Network, and American History Association. Carribean Fragoza is a writer and artist from South El Monte, CA, currently living in Fresno, CA.  Her arts/culture reviews and essays have been published in online national and international magazines such as Aperture, the American Prospect, LA Weekly, the Los Angeles Review of Books, Letras Libres, Culture Strike, and Tropics of Meta. She has published fiction and poetry in publications such as BOMB Magazine, Huizache, Palabra Literary Magazine and Emohippus. Her chapbook, “K-12” was published by Eohippus Labs. She is founder and co-director of the South El Monte Art Posse (SEMAP), a multi-disciplinary arts collective. From 2014 to 2016, she was the managing editor at KCET Departures.
