OUR MOSTLY FEATHERED FREINDS

This is a fun book for children ages 3 to 7. Whose Egg Is That? prompts readers to try to guess what animal produced the egg in the picture on a page, with hints to help the reader. On the next page, the animal and its eggs are presented together with a short paragraph providing a fun fact or two about the animal and its egg. Interestingly, the book makes the point that other animals besides birds lay eggs. There is even an example of a fossilized egg belonging to a dinosaur.

The animals and eggs in the book are all beautifully rendered by Kelsey Oseid. My 3-year-old grandson gave this book 5 frogs and has asked me to read it over and over. He giggles and is quite proud when he guesses the correct animal for an egg!
